Abandoned Mine Reclamation & Coal Mining Heritage Tour
The AMR Conference committee is hosting a tour of local sites of interest in the Stonycreek Watershed. The tour start at 12:30 sharp on Monday, July 13th (the day before the main conference) and will leave from the front of the Living and Learning Center. 40 seats were available.

Rockband2 Competition
That's right... Create a band, get a band back together, compete with other attendees. Play the gituar, bass, drums or sing to hundreds of rock songs. Don't bother packing up your instruments, we will bring the Wii and accessories. Optional evening activity after dinner Tuesday.

Coal Mining Heritage Related Videos
A screening of "Hardcoal: Last of the Bootleg Miners" and the "Town that Was" will be shown as an optional evening activity after dinner Tuesday.

AMR & CMH Mixer
Optional evening activity in place of dinner Wednesday Night will be held at the Johnstown Area Heritage Association Herigare Discovery Center in downtown Johnstown (Directions). Hors D'oeuvres and non alcoholic refreshments will be provided. A cash bar is also on premesis in the "Ethnic Social Club".

West Branch of the Susquehanna River AMD Education Tour
Trout Unlimited is hosting an optional tour to several sites in the West Branch of the Susquehanna (Cambria County). The tour start at 9:00AM sharp on Thursday, July 16th (the last day of the conference) and will leave from the front of the Living and Learning Center. Lunch will be provided on the bus and they will return at 5:00 PM. If you would like to attend please contact the Trout Unlimited Office (570) 748-4901 or e-mail info@wbsrc.org

The Johnstown Film & Wine Festival is a project of the Greater Johnstown Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2006, in cooperation with the Johnstown Area Heritage Association. The 2009 festival was be held July 8-11 at the Heritage Discovery Center in Johnstown.
